ArriRec709 LUT for Edge 8K skews Green

I am doing some tests with the Edge 8K and Edge 6K and noticed that the Edge 8K skews green.

Here’s some frames:

Edge 8K in 4K DCI ISO 250 HL 5.0 WB 5600K No Tint with ArriRec709_Edge8K_65 LUT Applied (No other color correction)

Edge 6K in 4K UHD ISO 250 HL 5.0 WB 5600K No Tint with Edge6K_ArriRec709_65 LUT applied (No other color correction)

The Kodak 250D LUT however does not.

Has anyone else noticed this? Shooting a feature on the Edge 8K in April and want to make sure I am monitoring correctly.

hey sean this looks like a small shift, you can either correct this in the lut, or in the tint menu of the wb, to get them to match perfectly, I assume you will go to a grading process? Just whitebalance these on the first node, and they will come out the same, if on set matching is important, for whatever reason use, tint shift in wb, or send me over to log images of both cameras, and I vreate a new lut for he edge 8k. enjoy!

Jerome I didn’t want to match them. I was trying to decide whether I was going to use the Edge 8K or 6K on a feature. I ended up going with the 6K again.

Hi Sean, this is a common problem to me from the first day i got my Edge 8k. Even if its not a “real” problem because its quite easy to get a correct whitebalance in post. My way around is to use a tint shift of about -3 to have a somehow correct image on set. I will upgrade to 7.3 this might change the tint shift.
