I want to use the Aivascope 1.75x with an S35 sensor (Komodo or BMPCC 6K pro) and from what I see with the first videos, it seems that the distortions on the sides are much more important than for the previous 1.5x version… Is it true ?…
Another thing, about the taking lens, so far, in order to have a good general quality (and the least possible chromatic aberrations…), I used Leica-R… but with the Aivascope, in order to increase the vertical deformation of the bokeh, I also used a modified Helios with (placed at the back of the optics, closest to the sensor) the addition of a small filter with a vertical oval cut out… and it works very good with the 1.5x version… but opened at F2 or F2.8, the J-Helios shows too many aberrations…
So compared to the quality of the Leica-R, what would be the alternatives?…
Finally, I wonder what an Iscorama 54 (non MC) is worth compared to the Aivascope?…
Thanks for your experiences!
