some of the specs in the release sheet I will post down below are already changed since this is a slightly old list. You will also note that the side display is now fully functional
After the update to KineOS.7002 is completed, we suggest conducting a black balancing under calibration mode.
Note: After the black balancing is conducted, if dark spots are still found: enter the calibration mode, set ISO to 800,
take off the cap in front of the sensor, evenly expose light to the sensor, and reduce the screen brightness by reducing the shutter.
(Shutter reference 1/2500-1/4000), until the dark spot is obvious on the Kine monitor, click MENU->System->Dark spot removal->Confirm.
UI Interface
The newly designed UI interface enables you to adjust camera parameters and settings through a convenient touchscreen. (Requires operation on KineMON-5U2/7U2)
- New menu interface
- Support Cooke /i protocol: lens aperture, focal length, focal length
- Added the medium waveform and IRE range indicator.
- Adjustable section by touchscreen: frame rate, shutter, ISO, aperture, ND, color temperature, LUT, audio.
SSD file system
7.0 supports the choice of NTFS/HFS two file formats, providing better compatibility
- When the file system is HFS, KineMAG Nano 1TB supports read-only and RAID5, which greatly improves security and robustness when reading or writing cards at high speed in the camera
- When the file system is NTFS, KineMAG Nano 1TB supports RAID 5 , which also provides a strong guarantee for data security
Note: When using the KineMAG Nano card body, Read-only and RAID5 are not effective on third-party M.2 SSD.
Monitor
- Support SDI output 24,25, 30,50,60fps
- Update KC_NEUTM color science, which optimized the color and exposure accuracy
- Optimized the color accuracy of SDI output
Recording Resolution
1.FF 4K Wide 70fps (4096×1692)
2.FF 4K HD 2.4:1 70fps (3840×1600)
- S35 4K HD 2.4:1 72fps (3840×1600)
- M4/3 4K Wide 130fps (4096×1692)
- Enable FF 8K Wide 70fps (8192×3384)
Other new features
- Add camera index display on UI
- Add custom shutter function to avoid high-frequency flicker
- Add the time zone setting
Improvement
- Fix the issue that the recording button on Kinefinity App might not be effective.
- Optimize the algorithm of Black Balancing to improve the accuracy of dark spot removal
- Optimized the issue that playback footage might cause system crash
- Improve the stability of the camera under zoom
- Improve the stability of KineMAG Nano during recording
