irony of slowmotion
So on a lot of forums I always see the common question about cameras ‘how much fps can it do?’ . And I know some people need high fps for food products photography and other stuff so I am not dismissing anyone, but the Irony is that 99,9% of the shots out there are just in normal time or slightly in slowmotion (50fps vs 25p project). I myself don’t shoot much slowmotion, and I am struggling uderstanding what to do with it.
The ‘ getting food’ scene in Wong Kar Wai ‘ in the mood for love’ is quite meaningful but only shot in 60fps.
I can only think about Antonioni’s Zabriskie point as a truly meaning full extreme slowmotion (with the pink floyd track).
I am truly wondering what kind of stuff you will shoot with the MAVO Edge 280fps capabilities, it looks quite amazing have to say. I quickly made something for my own study, to see what I can do with it. Would love to hear from you. And see more examples..
