Edge Color Space Transform + Dehancer Resolve Tutorial

Currently trying to get better at grading. Using Resolve 18.6 and Dehancer 7.1.1

Looked up tutorials online but the Color Space Transform options have changed. I’m attaching some photos below of my node tree as well as the Color Space Transform page. Would love to know the correct order, where to put the Color Space Transform, at the end of the node tree after #8 Dehancer or before. I also have Jerome’s Kinelog3 to Arri-Log C Transform LUT as #6 before the #7 Color Space Transform Node.

The results I’m getting are okay, I am just running into a couple things I find odd. Color Space Transform used to just have an Arri Log C drop down but now it is:
Input Color Space: Arri Wide Gamut 4
Input Gamma: Arri LogC 4
Output Color Space: Arri Wide Gamut 4
Output Gamma: REC-709A

Is anyone using the newer version of Resolve and Dehancer and can shed some light on this?

hey, I dont get it why do you use a color space transform? dehancer automatically adopts to the working color space. use our log transform, and alexa as an input in dehancer, and your good to go

also in case you want to use a color space transform, which seems odd in this workflow, but then use arri wide gamut 3 and arri log c3 , number 4 is for the alexa 35, hope this helps

Jerome Hey Jerome. Dehancer’s Arri profile is too red. I’ve never been happy with their camera profiles. Thanks for the tip about Arri Wide Gamut 3. I had originally started with this one but it was very dark. Turns out it does look better after I make exposure adjustments.

Overall, it seems that the last 3 nodes being the Log transform as #6, CST as #7 and Dehancer as #8 seems to be a good workflow. Thank you.
