Miguel G Hi! I am interested in hearing user experiences with the Ronin RS3 Pro and the lidar autofocus system with the Mavo Edge. Does anyone have an example? Is the Lidar autofocus system also useful when used without the gimbal? Thank you,
Jerome Miguel G ronin rs3 pro works perfectly fine with the Kinefinity Edge cameras! Easy to balance. The lidar system works the same for any camera with no auto focus or full manual lenses. Simply calibrate the lenses to be sharp at one meter. You can stall 3 lenses in the memory. There are quite some YouTube videos showing the pros and cons of this system. It’s not 100% flawless but it’s a great system nevertheless. I tested it quickly and didn’t liked the fact that you can’t use it withoit the rs3 . Yes you can but you need to do all calibrations on the rs3 which makes it basically not workable for any stand alone application. I would suggest to wait for a new generation, this is new tech and iam sure the 2nd generation will be much better.
