TomasKondrackis Hello,im new to Kinefinity Mavo LF Camera ,just buyed one, and got these strange noise lines ,is it normal? or bad sensor? ISO set to 800, also made black calibration. Thanks for answer
Jerome TomasKondrackis hey most probably you need a black balance. Read out article https://gafpagear.com/black-balancing-kinefinity-cameras/ If you need any extra help please let us know. And obviously let us know of this issue was resolved after a black balance. Gr jerome
TomasKondrackis Hi, these pictures was made after black balance. But what i mean, wanna know about this noise pattern like lines is it normal on Mavo LF sensor? Its very visible on dark areas. Also asking this because not so long ago you inspected this camera, from NL seller 🙂 Thanks!
Jerome TomasKondrackis what settings do you use? is this in iso mode? what is the highlight stop setting?
TomasKondrackis its in ISO mode ,shot on 800 iso. Highlight stop was 4.3 . Maybe its a bit underexposed, but what i mean this line noise pattern. Also i see that Mavo LF sensor is a little bit darker in exposure than other cameras ,using same lenses and settings? Will do another black balance calibration and more tests. Thanks!
Jerome TomasKondrackis the Mavo Lf always had these lines in the footage deeply hidden in the shadows. And indeed a black balance can greatly improve it. We also have a method to get rid of these lines completely in post. The Edge 6k which uses the same sensor doesn’t have these scanning lines same goes for Mavo lf mk2. If you need any help with getting rids of noise and patterns in post please let us know!
