Contax G lenses for video

Hello,

I’ve noticed some videos on gafpagears YouTube channel being shot with the Zeiss Contax G 45mm lens. I’d be curious to know how you made this work, and your view on the practicality of such an adaption. Have you tried with other lenses from the same series?

ysteinMamen we simply use a micro foiurth third adapter, and then a helicoid adapter for the contax g , which does focussing. for the type of work use the lens for its compketely fine (fixed on infinity to go with anamoprhic scopes.)

Jerome for ana totally fine and cheaper, true. Does the 45 G clear on Aivascope 1.5x in OG?

Tobitopp hey the 45mm will cover 24 sensor height when finalising in 2.0 univisum aspect. 2.39 there will be slight vignetting, especially in close focus. hope this helps.

Jerome yes this helps. Since I am sticking with my Edge and I love the 45mm focal length. Optically I assume it would match the older Contax Zeiss.

Tobitopp it wont match the older zeiss, its a unique design. contax g = love
